Every US President gets a library in their honor, and the 39th president just happens to be from Georgia! Although from Plains, Georgia, the Jimmy Carter Center is planted smack dab in the center of Atlanta. It is beautifully manicured with gardens and fountains, and that’s just the outside! Once inside and deep into the museum, it feels like 1980! The replica of the oval office during President Carter’s presidency is well let’s just say it’s ……very peachy! The museum details not only his presidency, but also his childhood, life’s work, and his wife Rosalynn’s life and contributions. President Carter himself is often found at the museum autographing his books, speaking, and mostly affecting change in the world! There is usually other art exhibits on display in addition to the President Carter’s library. If this is your first time visiting a presidential library, consider taking the POTUS library challenge and purchase a passport ($5) and visit all of the libraries of all past presidents of the US. Every time you a library, have your passport stamped!
